Comments: 9/64--entered Univ. of Va./Contract NROTC program. 9/66--elected Marine Corps option in NROTC program. Quantico--OCS/NROTC Bulldog Cruise--7/67-8/67. Graduated/Commissioned 2nd Lt., USMCR--Univ. of Va. in June, 1698. Quantico--Graduated from The Basic School 12/68. (Alpha Co., Basic Class 1-69) Jan 1969--at Camp Pendleton with replacement training. Feb 1969--at Camp Schwab, Okinawa,training/awaiting movement into South Viet Nam. Arrived DaNang 2/28/69. Had 1st Plt., K/3/1 3/69-5/69. Reassgned to H&S, 3/1, to finish out tour as the S-1A. Returned to CONUS 1/70 and served in G-1 Section, HQ, 2nd MARDIV at Camp Lejeune until release from active duty in May, 1971. Retired from USMCR in 1980 as a Capt. God bless all of you old Marines from 3/1.Served with 3/1 Kilo Company from Mar 69 to May 69 (1st Platoon Cmdr.) H&S Co. from May 69 to Jan 70 (as S-1 Alpha).
