| Comments:I was the Kilo 3 Actual under Co. C.O. Capt. Short for three month, Namo Bridge, Esso plant, Hai Van Pass, the valley around O.P. Reno and Truc Dong. My Plt. Sgt. was R.L.McCauslin, Docs were Ganger and Hull. Radio Man Blackman. Then I served three months as H&S Co. X.O. under Capt. Jim Williams, running "internal patrols" around the 81 Mortar hootches on payday. I created the loading plan for debarkation of the Battalion back to Pendelton and supervised loading an LST with the unit's vehicles and gear at Danang harbor. Served with Kilo Co 3/1 Marines from 9/70 to 3/71 3rd Plt 0301. |
