| Comments:I transferred to 3/1 from BLT 3/9 in June 70. I was originally assigned as assistant S-4 in H&S, then transferred to 1st Platoon, Kilo in July. I became XO in October, then Acting CO in December until my RTD in January 71. Capt. Short was the CO for most of my tour, Gunny Farrell was the Company Gunny. SSgt Jones was Platoon Sgt. of 1st Plt. followed by GySgt Vaughn, who took over as Plt. Leader when I became XO. Sgt. Kelley was platoon guide. Lt. Col. Marc A. Moore (Later MGen) was Bn C.O.
