| Comments:We became B/1/9 when we arrived in Okinawa. Capt G. H. Welsh was C.O. He died of a heart attack several years later(by then a LtCol) while jogging at Camp Lejeune. I shattered both wrists in a fall from the slide for life and was retired for disability in Sept 65. now a retired lawyer. Two sons were Marines, a Corp. in a co 3rd Recon Bn and a Lt. in air control.Served with Kilo 3/1 from 01/65 to 03/65 CO. and XO 0302. |
