| Comments:I was recently reached and led "home" by LtCol John Regal. I got "lost" when the explosive device amputated my legs at Thong Duc on 21 Aug 68. The recent talks I've had with John and Geno Clemens (and emails from George Olsen)have been very helpful in getting my "memory" back. Although, to date we can't seem to determine my Platoon or squad. Hopefully someone out there will remember serving those 6 weeks with me at Thong Duc. My wife, children and I would especially like to thank those Marines that carried me to the chopper in the midst of that fire fight....Semper Fidelis, Michael Hodge (Lcpl, medically retired).Served Kilo Co 3/1 from 07/68 to 08/68, 0311. |
