| Comments:I was attached to Kilo Co. 3/1 for a while until I suffered a bad case of malaria then was transferred to Cam Rahn Bay Hosp. for about 43 days. Upon return to 3/1 I was transferred to Mike Co. and eventually to 106 platoon where it was made into a rifle Company. I was stationed out of Namo Village working with the 106's and went on details into the hills with them. The worst part of my tour was not the Vietnamese but a certain 1st Sergeant who was so hated he had a price on his head by members of our own 3/1 unit... go figure. Now since I've retired I work with Customs and Border protection at Dulles IAD having transferred (big mistake) from San Diego, California. Served with Kilo Co 3/1 from 06/70 to 05/71, Corpsman. |
