| Comments:Update-Band of Brothers,
We all went in together ,but not as many came out. Sorro for those who we left behind. As SSgt, Schaffer told me, 'Doc, in war people die!' Now many years later at re-unions we see the survivers. Less and less per year. Good times to be told and remembered and a 'rememberence' for those we miss. Semper-fi!!
Our k-3-1 '04' re-union @ Pendleton was goooood! Ltcol. 'G', Ski,Jake. J.Keely [med-evac me out]Lou,Tito,Tom, LtCdr.'Doc',and so many more were on hand, as I remember.
Jake saw me with my head 'ripped open' and asked another 'doc' if I'd make it---doesn't look like it was the answer!! Weeeelllll, suprise. I'm here..
Good to see all and hope to get together soon.
s/f doc--Lt. Piet, SSGt. Schaffer, radioman, plt. sgt., Richard and I. Plt. Hdqts. team. Long patrols, c-rats, radiowatch and family-- all in one great bunch of guys!
I got hit with a motor round along with Richard in the calf. Both at DaNang then CONUS. I hit U.S.N Great Lakes Hosp. Then to Cherry Point VMF 533 and back to Chu Lai. Could't stay out of,"in country". Put time through '68', then CONUS nd out. Got word that Kilo had been hit bad with Capt. Green in an ambush. Lost almost all. Not much after that on Kilo.
My tour might be old to some who served later on but i'm still here.
