| Comments:Rifle squad leader with 1st platoon K/3/1. Following Vietnam service became a DI at MCRD San Diego, where I remained until commissioned in December 1969. As fate and Marine Corps orders would have it, my 3/1 time was my only Vietnam tour. Retired June 2000, at Parris Island, where I was the chief of staff.
The Corps offers many great opportunities; and while some may be as good, none are better than rifle squad leader. Served 3/1 Kilo Co. from 1/66 to 7/66, 1st Plt, Rifle squad, 0311. |
