| Comments:Served with 3/1 at Camp Horno between 1975 and 1979. The Bn Co was LtCol Alex Lee. The Xo was Major Ryder and Maj Kelly was the S-3. Best memory; the night we raided the hospital. Gassed the PMO and the Co got arrested. Lt Barry B. had a flashback that night on sugar loaf. Of Course Kilo was a wild bunch including Gunny Montgomery. As far as I know all the Company Gunnies made out okay. We all made Sgt Major or MGYSGT and retired.
3/1 trained for War everyday as if it were still on. The best SNCO,s and NCO,s I ever saw. They always took the lead and the blame for actions good or bad. Semper Fidelis!Served with Kilo Co 3/1 from 75 to 79, 0369/8654. |
