| Comments:I joined Lima Company, 2nd Platoon in March 1967 as a 0311 when the Company had the Stoner Weapons System. I was assigned to machine guns as an ammo humper extra ammo. I was taken out of the field in July 1967 and helped write the reports for III MAF for the Stoner System. I return to the field as an M60 gunner and then was taken out of the field again in October 1967 and assigned as an office pooge. I lived in the supply tent with Skip Best and did night ambush patrols out of the battalion. I did not return to the field. I wrote all the condolence letters after the 27th of December for the Company and mailed them after their review by S. E. Griffith the Battalion S-1 or S-2, I can not remember his actual designation. I left from Dong Ha for the World in early April 1968...got of the C-130 in Danang and right on a Continental Airlines Plane within minutes to Okinawa.
