| Comments:It always great to get these updates and see the new guys being found. What a bunch of old farts you guys are! xo Smitty....I joined the USMC active duty 3/21/66. Got to Nam in Sept. 66 I departed Oct 67. I joined Lima 1 Charlie. The first time out was when the radio operator got shot in the leg & I took the radio a few days later. Was radio operator for Charles Alexander (KIA), George Hickland (who could not grow a mustache), Lt. VanderVarrt (a real gentleman & I could never get his name right), Capt Joe Gibbs (smooth operator), Capt. Hubble (KIA 2 months after I left country). When I got back to the world my gear was taken and I lost all things from Nam. Most important was my Address book. This has been great to see things coming together. See ya in San Diego.
