Lima 3/1 company reunion will be held July 09-12, 2009, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Our hotel is the Days Inn, Inner Harbor, 100 Hopkins Place Pratt Street & Lombard Street., Baltimore, MD 21201. Room rates are $149.00 per night. Please call (410) 576-1000 for reservations and mention "Lima 3/1 Marines" for the special rate.

Lima Company will hold a reunion from Thursday July 9, 2009 - Sunday July 12 in Baltimore, Maryland. A limited bank of rooms have been reserved at the Days Inn, Inner Harbor in downtown Baltimore. Reservations can be made at 410-576-1000. Ask for the Lima Company Reunion for a special rate of $149.00 per night. Although this is somewhat higher than previous years, Baltimore has consistently been one of the top ten destination cities in the country and this is a good rate. Once in the hotel, there should be little or no need for an automobile as plenty of attractions are within walking distance. These include the world famous Inner Harbor with the National Aquarium, Science Center, the original ESPN Zone and Water Taxi that can transport you to all waterfront venues (Harbor area is within 4 blocks). Additionally Camden Yards and the Babe Ruth Museum are only one block away. The MARC Train which provides easy transport to Washington DC is also about one block from the h! otel. This provides inexpensive access to Union Station in the middle of DC with a quick change to the Washington Metro which stops at the Mall with the National Monuments and the Vietnam Memorial Wall. Please be aware that the MARC Train operates on weekdays only so one might consider coming a day early or staying until Tuesday to take advantage of this. There are literally hundreds of restaurants and sports bars near the hotel. These include the Cheese Cake Factory, Hard Rock Cafe, Phillips Seafood, Sanitary Seafood and hundreds of smaller but great local eateries.

I am working on several events including reserving a block of seats for an evening game againt the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, a city Duck Tour, discount Water Taxi passes and a special event at Ft. McHenry, the birthplace of our National Anthem. Additional fees may be requested on an a la carte basis. To see the accomodations you can access the Days Inn web site at www.daysinnerharbor.com which also includes a link to area attractions.

Baltimore Washington, Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)is a major hub for Southwest Airlines as well as most other carriers including Airtran. The Light Rail is an inexpensive way to move from BWI to the hotel. It will drop you off one block from Days Inn. Additionally Amtrak serves Penn Station in Baltimore and also provides Light Rail access to the hotel.
