| Comments:Short timer in Nam, wounded March 31, 1967, in the morning sometime while on way back to battalion area with platoon, just after searching a small village. No choppers available so was taken out of area on top of a tank, first to a small field medical unit, then to NAS Naval Hospital in DaNang. Recieved PH Medal from Gen. Walt (USMC) while at NAS. Wound was serious enough - artery, nerve and tissue damage, to be sent back home to states. Sorry I couldn't have been of more help - Semper Fi.Served with Mike Co 3/1, 02/67 to 04/67, 0311. |
