| Comments:We were lined up ready to get on helos for an OP. I got pulled out of line and told to report to regiment.My tour was over.Going home. I did not get a chance to say goodby to anyone. No names,address's etc. Anyone recall squad getting ambushed on 12/24 68? We lost cpl. Albert Vinson and Pfc. Louis Weist. We were camped on "christmas Island"?Served with Mike Company 3/1 Marines from, 06/68 to 03/69, 0311. |
