| Comments:I was Plt Sgt, and Plt Commander in Mike Co 3rd Plt and we had some of
the best marines that was in vietnam. I was plt commander when we took the main
objective at bridge#28 and we only had 28 marines and two of them were corpman,
we ran out of ammo and had to get more ammo to finish taken the hill, 3rd Plt
did a dam good job. We lost some people and we got some wounded, but we took the
hill and got the bridge back.1968 was tough, mike co was in lot of action and
3rd plt was getting most of it, on hill 512 3rd plt was caught and a ambush I
was plt sgt than or it may not happen. All I can say is I was proud to be in
charge of 3rd Plt.
I spent 10 years in the marines as a infantry and I
spent 4 years in the cubia crises.
I got out of the marines in 1969 and join the army 101 st airborne and went back
to vietnam nad nov 1970 Dec1971 and I was in the northern area of vietnam
also I got wounded again and my job was infantry Plt Commander.I also got an air
metal with the 101st. All I can say is war is tough in the army also.
Served with Mike Co. 3/1 from 1968 & 1971,` 3rd plt, 0351. |
