Trips to Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon:
Unfortunately, firm prices for charter bus service to the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon in October cannot be gotten right now because of increasing fuel and labor costs. Should you desire to visit the Hoover Dam or the Grand Canyon, the Sunset Station hotel will have bus tour information available and you’ll be able to make your own arrangements at that time. The following information might be helpful: The Hoover Dam is 45 minutes away. The tour lasts ½ day and the current on-line price is$45.99 per person. The Grand Canyon tour lasts 14 to 15 hours. Time spent at the Grand Canyon is approximately 2 hours. The current on-line price is $160.00 per couple.
REMINDER RE: HOTEL RESERVATIONS: at the Sunset Station Hotel & Casino, 1301 West Sunset Road, Las Vegas, NV 89014:
Call 1-888-786-7389. Identify yourself as being a member of the Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 1st Marines reunion group so that you get the contracted for room rate for our group for the period Sunday, October 12, 2008 to Thursday, October 16, 2008. The hotel will take reservations at our group rate until September 13, 2008. After that date reservations will be taken on a space available basis at the prevailing rate.
